This is a numbers matching, southern car, and is an original triple black car as well. The gentleman that we purchased the car from owned the car for 20 years. He purchased it out of Tennessee and brought it back to Georgia where he drove the car almost daily until he restored it 10 years ago. The car underwent a full and complete restoration, while keeping it as stock as possible to preserve the history of the car. The previous owner did a full title search on the car and traced the history all the way back to the original purchase back in 1965. The car was first purchased by a woman who traded in her 1962 corvette for it. We have all of the documentation for this car including chain of title and receipts of the restoration. The original transmission, carburetor and air cleaner are included in the sale as well. The K-code Mustang came with a 289ci/271hp hipo motor and was mated up to a 4 speed manual transmission. This car still has the original motor, which was rebuilt during the restoration 10 years ago. The transmission was also rebuilt. The car currently does not have the original transmission in it, but, we do have the original tranmission and it has been rebuilt. The car has been stored in Alabama, in a heated and air-conditioned garage. This car has been very well taken care of and loved tenderly.
