2 Pound Line VS 35 Pound Fish

HUGE carp caught with a 4'6" ultralight St. Croix Premiere rod combined with a Quantum PT Smoke spinning reel spooled with 2lb P-Line Flurocarbon fishing line. After observing the grass carp eating yellow leaves floating on top of the pond I rigged up a yellow floating grasshopper lure which looked somewhat similar to the leaves. To my surprise this humble giant inhaled it immediately! The entire battle lasted an exhilarating 30 minutes and wont be one I'll soon forget. Enjoy!!
