2016-01-22 - Kids sailing boat training race @ Pointe Jerome - South East of Mauritius

So l'il cuz was away on a one week intro training to sailing last week... On the last day, parents were invited to attend a small race event ... and i showed up with my drone :-) Now I have plenty of clips with the kids getting prepped and getting the boats (called an Optimist) off their trailer into the water... but i figured it would be too lengthy to include them in this vid... Specially given the length of the flight vid, that I couldn't bring myself to edit down... too much work and not enough time... plus I figure the other parents would like to see it all uncut... plus you all get to see the beauty of our island... I do feel like it's a tad too long though... but that could be cause I spent two nights working on the thing... The video clips that appear every now and then as overlay were shot by my Mom :-) At some point the coach, said that the wind was acting up so they had to try again, but I was already down to 57% of battery and I wouldn't risk staying airborne over water beyond 40%, so I didn't get the rest... which lasted for about an additional hour...
