Beyond sleek new styling and roomier interior the CLS features a new 3-liter inline 6-cylinder supplemented by a 48-volt electrical system that powers an integrated starter/generator. According to Mercedes the new powertrain’s combined electrical and gasoline thrust will exceed that of the current 402-horsepower V8.
