This documentary "ONE MAN, 6 WIVES AND 27 CHILDREN" screened when I was living in Western Australia. I recorded it on videotape, and later generated a dvd from that tape. I have included it here, because I like to see expressions of marriage other than the "one man, one wife" version which predominates today. Personally I think this guy is, to be polite and keep the lawyers off my back, let's just say "a bit suss". I support polygamy in general principal, whether there are multiple wives, or husbands, or both. However I have grave reservations about the women and children in the family shown here. Something the documentary never makes clear is, who do the other 15 or so transportable homes, visible in the opening video, belong to ? Also the talk about future lawn and trees and re-locating homes to form a courtyard, well for phukk-sake, why not put them in the right place when you first located them there ! Also clearing the "scrub" and leaving the soil to just erode away in dusty winds...not good. He's made a dust-bowl. Scrub/weeds/native bush/mesquite and stuff at least keeps down soil erosion and keeps the soil in place and in good condition for when you are ready to plant your choice of plants later on. Mate, I lived in the Western Australian outback and I turned my little corner into a budding Garden-of-Eden. This guy needs a kick up the butt and a few lessons on desert-gardening.
