On 22nd March 2014 the VSOE ran the "Luncheon Excursion" from London Victoria and return on the round trip via Staines, Chertsey,Woking and having a water stop at Shalford then continuing over the 'North Downs' to Redhill and back into London. Locomotive "Merchant Navy" class 35028 "Clan Line" being in charge throughout and performing superbly. The train is seen passing under the footbridge just to the North of Guildford station and snaking her way through the station and entering the "Chalk Tunnel" to the South. Later we see the train making a rare stop in the station at Redhill for pathing issues having arrived slightly early so a marvellous departure was witnessed as the train heads north towards Croydon and London. The weather was actually quite Spring like as we are now in the Spring season.
