#38: Ilunibi, The Sixth House Base [ Morrowind — PC ]

Let's Play The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (PC | HD | Vanilla) #38: Ilunibi Upon returning from the Urshilaku camp, Caius has an immediate quest for us to take the fight to the Sixth House cult themselves; he has gotten word of a Sixth House Base in a cavern named Ilunibi, near Gnaar Mok. Raesa Pullia at the Buckmoth legion fort near Ald-ruhn has witnessed a single corprus-infected soldier return from the base; rambling and maddened, it seems he was spared to give a message from their priest, Dagoth Gares. I set out willingly, knowing full-well the risks, to exterminate the entire base and nullify their threat. However, Ilunibi is full of dreamers, maddened naked Dunmer, recruits no doubt. Ash zombies, slaves, and ghouls protect the inner sanctum of the Sixth House base. Deep inside, Dagoth Gares awaits us. He has a message from Dagoth Ur: "come to Red Mountain and join me in friendship." He beckons us, but we fight. Gares is no match for our keen combat skills, but with his dying breath he curses me, and I contract corprus disease; a death sentence. He taunts me wth his last breath: "Even as my master wills, you will come to him in his flesh, and of his flesh. Hahhhahaha!" Dagoth Ur has foreseen our every step, and an unsettling feeling wells; how could I have fallen into such a trap? Why have I not been protected by my faith? I am the chosen one! I am the Nerevarine! Why then... "the curse of flesh before me flies." Except now I am victim to the curse of flesh... have I failed already? Is this my fate? A maddened lump of disfigured flesh? No... I refuse to believe... there must be a way.
