This 3D-printed robot, through the clever use of planetary gearing, converts simple rotation to a walking motion. This robot uses a single 6V electric motor equipped with a speed reducer (can be bought for around $5 on eBay), four AA batteries and a few pieces of wire. There are 11 involute gears in this mechanism, and 36 parts overall.
