5 HP Special Electric Lighting Otto 1909

This is a very rare "Special Electric Lighting" 5 HP Otto. This was built about 1909 and used for the unusual application of pumping water at an elite golf course in Delaware. This is an absolutely intact original paint engine. Otto electric engines are rare in that they chose to use the hit and miss principle rather than the smoother throttling governor system.
