5 Things I've Made to Reduce my Waste at Home in our Zero Waste Journey.
Before i get any more comments about how i shouldn't use a dryer let me qualify this by saying that I am Australian. We almost never use dryers in Australia as a generalisation. They are reserved for only times when it is absolutely necessary because it has been raining for so long that we can't get clothing dry outside on our washing line. I never ever had a dryer until quite recently when we moved to a much wetter colder climate and it became necessary for us on occasion. It probably wouldn't be necessary if I didn't have a toddler in cloth nappies/diapers but I do, so i can't go for days and days on end not being able to dry all our washing. Also having a capsule wardrobe means i don't have all that many clothes either so can't go forever without a wash. Thus we use this dryer maybe on average about once per month. I now have an undercover washing line too which helps but isn't enough all the time, hence the dryer.
