Hello everyone! Here's a cover that we've been wanting to bring you for a long time, from a game that we both adore! 999 (or Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors) is a fantastic visual-novel-with-puzzle-elements that excels with its amazing atmosphere, soundtrack and story. We played the game earlier this year and were both blown away by it! Everyone who's even slightly interested should check the game out, you really won't regret it!
These two songs really stood out for being melodic in a soundtrack full of atmospheric industrial music. They play in the emotional parts of the game and they sound absolutely fantastic. Morphogenetic Sorrow can be considered to be the main theme of the game, as its intro motif appears throughout multiple pieces and even in the sequel! It's an incredibly beautiful song and I urge you to listen to the original. Preferably while playing the game!
This cover was a very tricky one to do, as it's quite far removed from our usual stuff. This made the mix really difficult. The final section in particular, juggling 5 tracks of fuzz guitar, bitcrushed drums, real drums, bass, piano, choir, strings, and Tera's vocals was intense to be sure!
Speaking of Tera's vocals, holy crap, they're amazing. We're over the moon that she accepted to help us out with the song, and I think our cover would never have worked without her. So thanks very much to her! :D Check out her channel!
Thanks for watching even if you don't know the original, and see you next time for another part in our recurring series!

999 is fucking amazing and you should get it right now if you want to taste awesomeness! The story is really good but the
best thing about 999 is definitely the creepy music. Those two songs are the "emotionals" ones and I knew we had to cover them as soon as they started playing. And thanks a lot to Tera for making it even better :). See you soon guys!
