Each song showcases a different sonic idea that Rocky does his thing over, getting more introspective on the latter half of the project. Since my initial reaction the night of, I have seen many people disappointed with TESTING. Maybe I’m crazy, but I found a lot of character and artistry in Rocky’s release and have been playing it since the 5/25. It really is a grower and I feel the variety behind the sounds are somewhat hidden that takes more than one listen to appreciate. Also Frank Ocean’s feature on Purity is *Italian cook kisses hand* Overall I really enjoyed TESTING and it might end up on my favorites of the year list.
