They combine the advantages of HD resolution and night vision functionality with straightforward camera installation and connection using standard coaxial cables with a BNC connector. CCTV products from the DIY range are suitable for DIY installation by the end user, e. g. in private homes and small businesses. Those from the professional range fit for commercial premises and installation through a security installer. Over distances of 300 m (RG59) to 500 m (RG6), it is usually possible to continue using existing cables, making for an ideal solution for extending or upgrading (retrofitting) existing analogue systems. When DIY systems are used, there are CCTC all-in-one sets available that include predefined combi-cables (video signal + power supply) suitable for shorter distances (30 m). Live images and recordings can be viewed locally on the monitor. Remote access to the recorder is no problem via the app. Signal transmission with HD-TVI: ABUS analogue HD components transfer image, audio and control data via coaxial cables according to the HD-TVI standard. A single combi-cable transfers the power supply as well. Compatible with analogue cameras from the old generation: Existing analogue cameras (from the previous generation) can be operated with ABUS analogue HD recorders. In such cases, however, live display and recording will be at the old camera's (lower) resolution.
