Agago man hospitalised after 300 canes administered as clan punishment

A man in Wipolo village, Paimol sub-county in Agago district is nursing wounds in hospital after his fellow clan members caned him for six continuous hours as punishment for attempting to evict a widow from a house left to her by her late husband. The clan chief Gaetano Obur ordered for Quinto Bodo’s lashing as well as for the slaughtering of his goat as part of a cleansing ritual.
