Alaska 2015 Backpacking & hiking Steamboat Hills outside of McCarthy, AK

Trekking in Wrangell-St.Elias National Park in Alaska, USA. This video follows the three of us with our guide Emily Escapule (from Trek Alaska) as we enjoy the "Steamboat Hills" five-day guided trip. You start in McCarthy, AK and take a bush plane into the Wrangell-St.Elias National Park. From the remote mountain top landing strip you backpack and setup a base camp. From camp you adventure out on a day hikes until it is time to move camp and continue exploring other areas. If you are fortunate you will be picked up in 5 days.
