Carvoeiro a small town in the Algarve, once a fishing village, with a long history of settlement, has grown over the last decades into the main tourist area of the Concelho. It has a number of beaches surrounded by cliffs. There are traces of Roman habitation here. A very picturesque place for a holiday with lots of bars and cafes by the sea. Lots of interesting places to visit. some only a bus ride away. A superb Indian restaurant named O Indiano, right on the ocean is a great place to eat or have a beer. There are many small towns such as Silves and Lagos, which are within easy reach and a day trip. You can also check out my videos ..."Algarve Portugal towns of Sagres and Lagos", which will give you an idea of these towns. and ..."Algarve Silves Castle Portugal", which is a video of the glorious castle in Silves.
