Press the letter "C" to switch from memory mode to VFO. 2. Enter frequency 3. Press the letter "A" then the number "4" to select the shift (+/-). This may a take a couple of tries to reach the one you need. 4. Press the letter "A" then the "8" to access the menu. 5. Use letter "C" or "B" to scroll through the menu until you find menu option 1 to set the PL Tone. If it shows that it is off press the "1" button until you see a PL Tone, then turn the main knob to the proper PL Tone. 6. once the needed PL Tone has been selected hit the "#" key to enter your selection and exit the menu. To place the new repeater into memory 1. Press the letter "A" then "C". You will see the memory slot indicator flashing. 2. Turn the main knob until you reach the desired memory location (0-199). 3. Press the letter "A" again then press and hold "C" until you hear two beeps. 4. press "C" to return to memory. Alpha/Numeric Tags 1. Press the letter "A" then "8" to enter the menu. 2. Press either "B" or "C" to scroll through the menu until you find menu item 12. 3. Rotate the main knob to choose the desired character. 4. Press "1" to confirm the character and move to the next space (6 max). 5. To go back one character press "4." Press the "#" key to confirm and exit.
