Amanda Prepares to Return Home: "Learning to Negotiate Stairs - 101"

Amanda continues to push herself and get as much training as possible accomplished before she returns home. On Tuesday, after a warm-up on the treadmill, she faced "the stairs" --something that puts fear in the minds of many bilateral above knee amputees. First the technique for going down the stairs foot over foot. Never pretty the first time, but with practice, is a breeze with Genium knees. These knees will also allow the wearer to climb up the stairs foot over foot, and as she builds her strength and confidence Amanda will learn the technique to do that also. It won't be long!!!
