Here is the way to root your phone by chmod and a tutorial how to format your sd card to ext2, and boot android on wave. I'm NOT responsible for any damage you make to your phone. FOTA: http://badadroid.googlecode.com/files/bl_univ_boot_poc2.zip# MultiLoaderX_v5.65: http://www.multiupload.com/LCOFL767G4 Bootfiles: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C1M5JB2K (Those bootfiles are ment to be used for non-compatible firmwares. TRY WITH YOUR CURRENT BOOTLOADER BEFORE FLASING THIS ONE) Android File System: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CI0QUBLY (There IS an zImage in the file, Do NOT USE IT, DELETE IT) In galaxyboot folder put these files (SBL.bin and zImage), galaxyboot folder (with included sbl.bin and zImage also in the root of galaxyboot folder) copy to root of you phone internal memory as shown in video SBL.bin: http://www.multiupload.com/BOBBLJAVP1 zImage: http://www.multiupload.com/2QX7VSNI78 You could try this version of sbl and zImage too: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4WDW8BOE two files for keylayout and wifi static app: s3c... (android/system/ usr/keylayout ) : http://www.multiupload.com/QMB1GJB22R wifi (android/data/app) : http://www.mediafire.com/?edc30bp78w5ue7j# Flashing the BL and FOTA . 1. Open up multiloader, Select LSI and check full download 2. only do this one if your device is ONLY booting bada with incompatible FW Unpack the bootfiles you downloaded and select the folder you extracted. 3. Click FOTA, Select the FOTA you just downloaded. 4. Boot you phone to download mode. (if you don't know how to you should not do this) 5. Click Port search, Download. 6. When done boot bada to make sure the phone works fine. If it does. Continue Setting a user as root: 1) Run the terminal, clicking on the top left there is such a character in a circle and then type in the terminal and run click. 2) As a first command type "sudo su" (without quotes) 3) Then type "sudo passwd" (without the quotes). 4) Then type your password, which you have to remember. 5) Then click on the very top right character and select Logout or Restart 6) Then at the start up select Username: root Password: your password as you are obliged to enter the terminal (sudo passwd) 7) Ok now you're logged in as root. Many thanks to ShadowAS1 from XDA, his original tutorial is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118436 And All credit goes to XDA-Developers for porting Android on Wave
