READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE USING ALUMINUM RESTORE™
Restoration of aluminum consists of replacing the original sealant below the anodized surface. Aluminum Restore™ Penetrating Polymer™ acts deep down in anodized aluminum, excluding air, while it puts a thin UV protective coating on the treated surface.
DETERMING IF ALUMINUM RESTORE IS RIGHT FOR YOUR JOB: If the anodized aluminum surface has weathered away, such that not only the binder that seals the porous anodized surface is missing, but the anodizing itself is gone, Aluminum Restore™ will not be able to bring back the metal's brightness. In such a case, the aluminum will need to be polished by other means.
For best results use Aluminum Restore™ on newly cleaned anodized aluminum surfaces. Following cleaning, this kit provides everything you will need.
NOTE: In the case that aluminum has been treated previously, clean with acetone or strong solvent, following their manufacturer safety guidelines and instructions.
STEP 1 - PREPARE: Cleanse.
• Clean and dry aluminum to be restored. Work in a location that is dry and above freezing (32 degrees Farenheit). NOTE: Aluminum Restore™ is specifically formulated not to harm painted surfaces that are in good condition. If Penetrating Polymer™ contacts paintwork, simply wipe away with a cloth while still wet. HOWEVER, care should be taken to keep the Aluminum Restore™ solution off of paint that is faded, porous, or that needs to be polished or waxed when it is adjacent to aluminum that is being treated, as this could create uneven paint lustre if the Penetrating Polymer™ were to overlap the paintwork.
•Assemble bottle of Penetrating Polymer™, Light-Weight Work Gloves, and Lint-Free Applicator Cloth, all provided in the kit.
•Wearing Light-Weight Work Gloves, wipe aluminum with Pre-Treated Prep Cloth to remove any remaining dirt and residue.
STEP 2 - PENETRATE AND POLYMERIZE: Restore.
The Penetrating Polymer™ instantly restores brightness from deep in aluminum's surface, drying to a durable UV protective coating.
NOTE: Be sure all surfaces and surrounding areas are clean and dry.
•Moisten a small area of the Applicator Cloth with the Penetrating Polymer™, continuing to moisten the cloth as necessary throughout the process.
•Wipe the area to be restored with long strokes. Brightness will return instantly. Try to make a thorough but thin coating, as Aluminum Restore™ works by replacing sealant below the surface, not by means of a thick coating.
DRYING TIME:
After Polymerizing, wait 1 hour before touching and 6 hours for a full cure. Avoid water or condensation until cured.

ABOUT RE-APPLICATION OF ALUMINUM RESTORE:
Your anodized surfaces treated with Aluminum Restore may need renewal if haziness or a milky appearance develop over time, due to exposure to strong sunlight or the elements of weather such as outdoor winter conditions.
Renewal of Aluminum Restore consists of a repeat process of your auto detailing with the Penetrating Polymer. Simply re-apply the AR Penetrating Polymer detailing solution after cleaning and drying the aluminum surface.
If hazing and milkiness do not resolve, you can quickly remove the previous AR Penetrating Polymer coating with a strong solvent, such as acetone, on a cloth. Then re-apply the Penetrating Polymer detailing solution according to original application instructions.
Always be careful not to allow solvents or the Penetrating Polymer detailing solution to contact adjacent paint or other surfaces.
