Ao's of Nagaland Part 1- Origin & Migration

The Aos are one of the major Naga tribes from India. They live and work from the north east Indian province of Nagaland. This documentary by EMMRC Kolkata's Moasunep Kichu explores the origin myths and subsequent history of migration of this tribe as preserved in their oral tradition. It contains rare footage of their various rituals and interviews with eminent members of various Ao clans. To that extent, it is an welcome addition to new researches on a special Indian tribe as they meet forces of modernity.
