APC 24V Smart 1000 Battery Upgrade (RBC6-RBC7)

Upgrading the battery pack in a couple of American Power Conversion, Uninterrupted Power Supply. Converts the regular UPS to an XL. Replacing the stock RBC6 pack with the RBC7. Step by step instructions. **UPDATE. Well here we are almost 4 years later, and even with all the armchair electronic gurus tsk tsking this mod, BOTH units that I converted are still functioning perfectly. One is on my main computer/screens/modem and the other backs up a 150gal fish tank. Tank with 1 heater and 1 circ pump runs approx 4 hours depending on how cold the ambient temp is, and the other will run the computer for approx 4 hours if I go to just one screen.
