AR57 (Updated) & YHM Suppressor Review: This review is primarily to show the difference between shooting that AR57 suppressed vs. unsuppressed. I also cover the mods I have made since the first video which include: 12" SBR, EOTech XPS2-2, Streamlight TLR-1, Timney drop-in 4# trigger, 3-point sling, QD sling mounts, Troy Industries Battle Axe butt stock. Overall impressions: While it obviously adds some weight to the rifle, I found the suppressor to make the gun hearing safe - to the point of sounding similar to a .22lr. The low recoil of the 5.7x28 rounds enables you to maintain your sight picture while operating at a high rate of fire... It's easy to keep the dot on your target. With 50 rounds per magazine, extremely low recoil, highly effective ammunition, fast & accurate follow-up shots and now the ability to shoot at hearing-safe levels... this is definitely my favorite SHTF weapon! If you have any questions about any of the accessories or the rifle itself, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email. I will do my best to answer them all.
