Troitsky goes on to describe measured Cohen's musical career in respectful expressions: he works "very quietly, wisely, in a masculine manner." Some interesting episodes of the biography are mentioned: Nobel nomination, the years in Buddhist monastery, chart success of Hallelujah. "As for me, it's an ideal voice," says critic about Cohen's famous baritone. "Strictly speaking, Cohen himself and Cohen-esque attitude were long ago integrated into the culture and the vernacular. If someone in England, America, Canada, or Australia says of a young woman, "Well, she's a lady in style of Leonard Cohen," listeners are clear that it means she's intellectual, very romantic, and given to depressive moods. She is both unlucky in [emotional, sexual] love and lucky in her love of literature and poetry. That is what it means to be a Cohen-esque Girl."
