From his eclectic musical upbringing in Alaska to tearing up the LA producing scene, Astronomar is a fixture in the electronic music (EDM) world and has a truly unique story. So have fun exploring his world, influences, and creative endeavors in his virtual world. About Astronomar: Mar Lumba would be hard pressed to find a more apt moniker under which to brand his musical career. Utterly unclassifiable, Astronomar seems to travel great distances to uncover the individual components that end up within each track. Essences of TJR and early Dillon Francis are equally as prevalent as Para One and Claude VonStroke in his quintessential sound, which is typified by a goofy gravitas. Lumba makes up one third of the triumvirate that runs Main Course Records, alongside fellow producers Neoteric and Bot. Having first peered into the spotlight when Dog Blood played his remix of Neoteric and Wax Motif’s “Go Deep” at Coachella 2013, Astronomar’s latest Truth Potion EP and matriculation into the 2017 festival circuit have set the stage for a momentous ascension in the coming year. About the Fortress The Fortress is an experiment in music. With the ultimate goal of unifying all of the senses, the Fortress collaborates with artists in telling new narratives, creating new worlds, and inspiring new thought processes through the use of Virtual Reality technologies.
