Asus K55VM review - thorough test of the Asus K55 family

A thorough video review of the Asus K55VM, the top of the line version in the Asus K55 series, next to the poorer speced Asus K55VD, both members of the Asus K55V family launched in 2012. The tested unit came with an Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7-3610QM processor and Nvidia 630M graphics, plus 6 GB of RAM and 750 GB HDD. Other configs will also be available. The K55VD will only feature the entry level Nvidia 610M graphics, so will be cheaper but also considerably poorer in terms of graphics performances, visible when trying to run games. Otherwise, it's indentical to the Asus K55VM. The review tells you details about the exterior of this machine, the keyboard and trackpad, the performances (multitasking, multimedia content), gaming abilities (Iv'e run a couple of games, like Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and others - more details are available in the written review), the battery life and some conclusions. There are a bunch of Asus K55VM versions available right now and I will tell you a couple of things about them: - asus k55vm-sx078d - comes with a Core i7-3610QM processor, Nvidia 630M graphics, 8 GB of RAM, 750 GB HDD and Free Dos - asus k55vm-sx086d - same as above, but with 1 TB HDD - asus k55vm-sx045v - same as the first option, but only 6GB of RAM and 500 GB HDD - asus k55vm-sx128 ((K55VM-3DSX) - comes with a Core i5-2510M processor, Nvidia 630M graphics, 500 GB HDD, 4 GB of RAM and Free DOS - asus k55vm-sx116d - same as above, but with 8 GB of RAM But these are only some of them. if you need details on any particular Asus K55VM model, let me know in the comments. There are also a bunch of other Asus K55 laptops available in stores, with different types of configurations: - Asus K55A - a cheaper version, without dedicated graphics, but also built on Intel platforms, with Core i3/i5 and i7 processors. - Asus K55N - a fast and affordable option, built on an AMD A6/A8 or A10 hardware platform, with AMD Radeon graphics - Asus K55DR - also and AMD options, with slightly more powerful graphics options, including dual-graphics sollutions That's about it for now.
