ATK has developed the Palletized Autonomous Weapon System, or PAWS, as a self-contained and autonomous armament package that is user scalable to specific mission requirements. PAWS is comprised of off-the-shelf components and can be easily installed on a variety of platforms without special interface. The versatile system affords the warfighter advantages such as:
• Scalable Lethality — PAWS provides the capability to remotely aim and fire virtually any small or medium caliber weapon. In particular, the ATK family of cannons and ammunition allows for maximum target flexibility and scalable
lethality based upon the mission requirements.
• Portability — PAWS is a roll on/roll off system, with a simple bolt-in interface. It enables rapid mission configuration and can be installed to run from batteries or a variety of external sources. Total time from shipping crate to systems tests, to firing is less than 10 minutes.
• Platform Independence — With the flexibility of PAWS users can mount the pallet to a fixed position or to most any ground combat, sea, or air platforms. Versatility means the warfighter can acquire and neutralize threats from a safe stand off distance.
• Mission Flexibility — PAWS offers all the advantages of mounting nearly any small and medium caliber weapon into a package that provides full targeting and sighting on most platforms. No other system in the world combines these technologies to give users the firepower they need under any mission scenario.
