A review of Atlantis - The Lost Tales, a game from Cryo Interactive. Can you actually make a game with little more than clever logic and a bunch of Panoramas resembling some kind of CGI version of Google Street View? Who even remembers this thing? Is it worth playing now? I left a few things out, deciding to leave my Riven rant in instead. A few things I also wanted to mention but ended up cutting; - Different Game Over dialog is given for each different failure by the player. - The Inventory is not automatic, so you always have to take items out of it. - The theme of the game is called Sunriders. - I wanted to show the guards chasing me, but ran out of drive space. - Other stuff. Once you exceed the games needed CPU speed, there's actually quite a gap before it becomes silly fast, so it doesn't have to be as tight as I might make it seem. This video is available at 50fps but I will not be making a habit of this on the current workstation as the rendering time is simply too long and the file size makes uploading it cost a considerable amount of money, especially given it failed once already.
