At the Mariannenplatz you can also finde the formerly occupied Georg von Rauch-Haus, named after Georg von Rauch (activist from The Movement 2nd June) which was shot by a policeman. The left Rio Reiser (German rock musician and singer of the ) lived here temporarily, and his famous rock group Ton Steine Scherben immortalized the place in the Rauch-Haus-Song from the album No Power for Nobody (1972).
