This time we ride on a down train behind the tramway diesel with a load of empty timber wagons ready for the start of work in the Clun Forest on Tuesday morning. We leave Gooey station from platform 2 and pause in the Narrows before crossing Bridge Street. We then have a token exchange at Cockshutt before taking the tramway to Glascwm, passing the entrance to RAF Ffynon Garew on the way.
