Part 3 His reply: We are not in a courtroom, nor are we bound by the conditions of a courtroom as two people conversing on a topic. My reply, Oh, but we are in the equivalent of a courtroom because the veracity of the bible is on trial and you are defending it while I prosecute. You only wish the bible was not under scrutiny or on trial. The rules of evidence and fair play apply just as they would in a court of law. You wish to stack the deck in your favor and avoid the weighty issues hoping to destroy me and what I have to say. My reply, Correction! I wish to focus on the many obvious errors, contradictions, and fallacies of the bible while you want to go where you think it is defensible. Sorry, but we aren't going to play your game by your rules. You claim the bible is the inerrant word of a perfect being; therefore you should be willing to answer any questions I have on any topic. Moreover, the bible requires you to do so. Don't you believe it when it says "Prove all things" and "Always be prepared to make a defense for the faith that lies within you." I never claimed to be a defense attorney in your imaginary courtroom and I am not bound by your expectations. My reply, Wrong again! Note my prior response. When you choose to defend the bible you are automatically a defense counsel. Incidentally, I can't but note after reading your answers below that you appear to have plagiarized the writings of someone and were too lazy to write your own. Am I correct? Be honest. However, in order to receive the reply I expect to receive from you I will answer the questions you posed above: 1. First of all, NO ONE "accepts" Christ. The word "accept" is not even in the Bible. The Bible teaches that salvation is of God alone and He is sovereign in the choosing of His elect. One who is regenerated by the Holy Spirit receives the free gift of eternal life. (1 Cor. 4:7, Rom 8:29-35). My reply, Like so many Biblicists you ignore the text when it does not suit your purposes. Jesus is the head honcho in Christianity. And Jesus said in John 14:6 that he was the way, the truth and the life. NO MAN cometh to the father but by him." There are no exceptions. You have to accept Jesus in order to be saved. I asked how several groups could be saved and am yet to receive a reply. As for unborn fetuses, babies, etc., since God is sovereign in regenerating the hearts of people, we have no idea for sure who is saved and who is not. My reply, Yes we do. Jesus just told you. Don't you believe him? The babies are damned because they never accepted Jesus. God has the power to regenerate the heart of an unborn child and bring that child directly home with Him in heaven; My reply, That child can't possibly go to heaven because he never accepted Jesus. the child is not saved by knowledge or saying "magic words", but by grace alone. (Eph. 2:8-9, Rom 9:13-16) My reply, Then you are saying Jesus is a liar. A person does not need to accept Jesus in order to be saved. Secondly, if people are saved by grace alone, then behavior, good or bad, is irrelevant and we can all lead a rotten, degenerate life. God is going to choose whoever is saved by his whim and our behavior has no effect on the outcome. Also, children born from believing parents are sanctified by their parents and counted as holy (imputed righteousness/holiness or alien righteousness) (1 Cor. 7:14) My reply, That contradicts the bible which says everyone will be judged by his own sins and behavior. The behavior of your parents or who they are is immaterial. 2. Federal headship- Adam represented the entire human race in his sin and drove the entire human into sin as a result (Rom 5:18-21). My reply, The bible says we will all be judged by our own sins and the children shall not be judged by the sins of their fathers. You don't Brett because of what Brett's father did. Use your common sense. Adam was not our father- he was our representative My reply, What do you mean "representative?" I am not responsible for what he does. And, by the way, his sin was not merely eating the fruit- it was disobedience against God and idolatry in that when he ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil his goal was to be like God, i.e. usurp His position and be his own god. (Gen 3) Sound familiar? My reply, Again. What Adam does is his business. Justice dictates that we not be punished for what he did; yet we are according to scripture. Deut. 32:4 says god is just. Where is the justice? You never answered my original question. I don't care what Adam did. The fact is that you and I did not do it. So we can't be punished for it, period.
