The wire guided missile launcher has returned to Battlefield, this time it being the FGM-172 SRAW and oh boy it couldn't be more fun and satisfying!
Bonus funny infantry kills and a LAV clip to show the lower damage on land vehicles.
Personal notes (For the more in depth viewer :P):
For those of you who have played previous battlefields such as BF2 and Bad Company 2 you would recognise the wire-guided launchers such as the Eryx (SRAW as well) and AT4 and I guarantee you will be happy with this new one. Unfortunately battlefield 3 took a miss with the wire guided launchers (Only having stationary and mobile TOW missiles that worked under the same principles) but DICE have brought back the much loved launcher and after a couple days of playing with it I could not be happier.
I have heard some people say there is a type of lock on ability with the SRAW that allows you to hit tanks a lot easier (You aim at the tank and the missile will guide itself to it even if the missile has passed it), however I haven't really noticed anything game breaking with this feature. While I don't want it in the game from what I have seen it is pretty useless if the target is moving, as well all the maps are full of constant foliage, buildings and other structures that can block your view with the missile. When something comes between you and the launcher it completely sways off course and is useless after that. So tank drivers out there, keep moving and use all the cover you can get.
Note: 720p recordings for now, 1080p is just too intensive and I lose too many frames while playing normally. Still all in glorious Ultra :D
