BCL Law and Society - Kevin Charbel

Kevin Charbel, Law and Society student in the Law and Society course in DCU, talks about his experience in the programme. The difference between lots of law courses and the Law and Society course in DCU is the practical element, there is a lot of debating amongst the students and there is also a Moot course module, where the students get to act as barristers, its serious as well as being light-hearted and fun as it's with your friends. A great thing about DCU and the lecturers at DCU is that they are very friendly and you can ask them anything you want, and they'll do the best they can to help the students. Another great thing about this course is that you can apply the skills you learn in the course to your interests, for example Kevin helped set up the European Law Students Association in DCU who organise internationally-minded events and who who organise paid internships abroad for students. DCU also have FLAC society where they offer free legal advice to the community.
