My very first recipe request!! This is a rich, smooth, and hearty soup made with beef short ribs! In Korean, this soup is called galbitang or kalbitang, and is a great family meal recipe!
I'm not quite sure how to describe the taste of bone soup, but the best way I could describe it is that it's milky and wholesome. It might sound strange, but it's very delicious! Like I mentioned in the video, it's a bit similar to seolleongtang in it's milky flavor and appearance!
Ingredients serve 2-4 people
800g kalbi short rib meat 800g
200g radish 200g
12 - 15 cloves of garlic
1 large green onion
4 grams of kelp
2 tablespoons of sake
14 cups water
100g of cellophane noodles
On cooked meat:
1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 tablespoon of sake
In the soup:
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
Topping:
1/2 cup of chopped green onions
2 egg yolks
Optional: 다대기 spicy sauce
3 tablespoon of red pepper flakes
2 tablespoon of minced garlic
2 tablespoons of kalbi broth (or anchovy/kelp broth)
