Any illegal activity, or activity that threatens the government in any way, must be reported to the ministry. After the tutorial, the first task, Crime and Punishment, involves a tenant in apartment 2, Jacob Manishek. Carl must install a camera in his apartment and search through his belongings. The ministry has reason to believe that he has breaking the law. Apparently, Jacob is manufacturing drugs in his apartment, which is illegal. It takes place in a dystopian future where an oppressive government rules over its citizens. You play Carl Stein, a landlord who must maintain his apartment building for his tenants. Your real purpose, however, is to spy on the tenants and report any suspicious or illegal activity to the ministry, which may lead to that person's arrest or even assault. You could choose not to report on these activities, but the ministry is watching you and will be displeased if you don't. You can install security cameras in their homes, search their belongings, and send written reports about them to the ministry. You can even blackmail your tenants in order to get money that your family needs. Every decision in the game affects the way the story plays out, even minor ones, and there are multiple endings to experience.
