Being flogged and single tailed at Folsom Street Fair 2012

I wanted to challenge my spiritual practices by seeing if I could endure a single tail whipping by meditating. My goal was to go within myself and shut out the external experience of pain. With the amazingly talented and super sexy Jorge Vieto, Jr's assistance, I was able to do just that. I utilized the scene with Jorge as a spiritual practice. I am Buddhist and practice meditation. My intent with the scene was not only to challenge my psychological fear of being not in control, but also to see if I could focus inward and release myself from my body. Buddhism teaches that attachment is suffering. I sought to overcome attachment and I succeeded. Jorge was compassionate and caring and checked in with me throughout the scene, he provided excellent aftercare and instruction and I could not be happier with him or the experience.
