Für den Bau der Amalfi-Küste, 15 laufende Meter, wurde die gleiche Zeit wie für den gesamten Mittedeutschland-Abschnitt investiert. Die Amalfiküste lebt von der Landschaftsgestaltung, die modellbauerisch bis ins kleinste Detail geplant und umgesetzt wurde. Gerd, der Leiter des Modellbaus, erklärt uns was dabei besonders kniffelig gewesen ist. The first section of the Italy layout is finished. Building the Amalfi coast, 15 meters in total, took the same amount of time as building our Middle Germany layout. The Amalfi coast thrives on its landscape design, which has been planned and realized in detail by our model makers. Gerd, the head of the model building department, explains what has been especially tricky.
