How to check whether CyberGhost VPN is installed and properly working on your PC running Windows 7:
First, make sure that you are not connected to CyberGhost, then open the Windows ''Control Panel'' to check the network. For that, click on "Network and internet" and then on 'Network and Sharing Center'. Here you find a graphic describing the status of your current Internet connection.
Now start CyberGhost VPN, log-in to your account, and connect to a server.
After you have been anonymized, go back to the same place and see, if the recent Internet connection has been terminated.
To check if CyberGhost VPN has been properly installed, do the following:
Open the windows Control panel and click on System and security.
There you open the section ''system'' and right after that, the device manager located in the left side menu.
In the 'Device manager' you should find a fully functional TAP-Win32 network adapter.
Furthermore, the CyberGhostVPN service must be running. To check this, please right click on "Computer" and chose the "Manage" entry. Double click on the entry 'Services and Applications', then 'Services', and search for 'CyberGhost VPN'.
Right click on the CyberGhostVPN entry and open its 'Properties'. There you are able to change the startup type from Manual to Automatic, if necessary.
