Bill and Ron Moore - Simple (1969)

Bill and Ron Moore - Lo and Behold (1969). Private press. Rare prehistoric folk artifact from Ron Moore and brother Bill looking fresh out of high school (or perhaps still in high school). Surprisingly this is quite listen-able even though it’s mostly cover songs with a propensity for Simon and Garfunkel, as well as ‘Get Together’, ‘Look To Your Soul’, etc. Four originals: ‘Buffalo’, ‘Think Of You’, ‘I’m Nothing I’m Nobody’ and ‘Simple’. Backing the two guitarists are Jimmy Boyle on organ, Roger Hughes on drums, and Alan Moore (another brother) on bass and additional guitar. Ron’s Airborn label co— head Ed Kilbourne also had a slew of albums on this label. Ron went on to record a number of respected albums (see entries).
