TL;DR: Unlock nodes at node managers. Contract workers at Work Supervisor. Buy lodgings with Contribution points to contract more. Invest in the nodes and their resource subnodes to send workers there. Focus on grain and timber/ore nodes at first and use energy to reroll for skilled+ workers.
