This is a contest entry. Song: The Other Side by Sirenia Anime: Teen Titans MAIN SUMMARY: Blackfire captures Starfire for one reason: Revenge. Why? Previously she tried to take Starfire's place in the Teen Titans and fails. Blackfire becomes enraged and plans on killing her sister herself. So, consumed with ideas of revenge, she takes over Tameran. She's the ruler of the freakin' world. If she wants to execute her sister, who's going to oppose her? - If you want it step by step I will go through the entire video so that there is no confusion about what is going on. - The storyline: (step by step, or rather, line by line) ~Verse 1~ "There's a light and a darkened road," This is quite literally talking about the moon and the path to Tameran. (Starfire has been captured.) "There's a night and a fading hope," flying in the night with her captors, Starfire's chances of escaping are fading. "There was a dream that once was mine," Begin flashback) Blackfire wanted to take Starfire's place in the Teen Titans- "But now it seems it has passed with time." - but Blackfire fails. (End flashback) *Chorus* "Sail away my little sister, sail away, to the other side." Starfire has arrived at Tameran and Blackfire is ready to send her sister to "the other side." They begin combat. "Sail away my little sister, sail away, far into the night." (Continuation of combat) "Where times seems much better than this void called life." Blackfire is being sarcastic. She is basically saying, "Go ahead and died, it's greener on the other side." ~Verse 2~ "There's a voice inside my head," Revenge is pushing her to kill Starfire. "There's a hope now long since dead," Starfire's chances of escaping died a long time ago, when she foiled Blackfire's plot. "It's all a wonder, will I abide," How can Blackfire wait to get her revenge? "I hear you calling from the other side." Blackfire is saying this to Starfire, during combat, and in a flashback in which Blackfire had obtained a gem to help her kill Starfire. *Chorus* (it's different) "Sail away my little sister, sail away, to the other side." (Continuation of combat) "Sail away my little sister, sail away, far into the night." Blackfire is becoming more and more enranged as she remembers the relationship with Robin she lost to Starfire. "Where times seems much better than this void called life." (Within a flashback) Robin is telling Blackfire that he chose Starfire over her. -musical break- (Continuation of combat) When the (Latin?) singing comes in: (It is showing flashbacks of the first attempt to take over Starfire's life.) Starfire's suspicions of her sister were confirmed after she found out about the necklace. *Chorus* "Sail away my little sister, sail away, to the other side." (Continuation of flash back) After she found out about the necklace, she turned Blackfire in. Unlike earlier's meaning, this time Starfire is saying to Blackfire, "Repent and come to the good side." "Sail away my little sister, sail away, far into the night." (Coninuation of flash back) Starfire is still talking to Blackfire, as she is taken away. "Where times seems much better than this void called life." (Continuation of flash back) Starfire is saying, "The good is better than a false or "void" sense of life style known as the "dark side". (end flashback) Ending: After the flashback, if you remember, they were still in combat. When Starfire tries to grab the jewel, she releases all its power, causing an explosion. So Blackfire finnally gets her revenge... but they are both dead.
