Boy mercilessly beaten for returning TV taken against unpaid wages

A boy in Meghalaya’s Khliehriat was tied up like an animal and thrashed by a mob for taking a TV set and a blanket away from his employer against unpaid wages.The incident happened on May 13 by the East Jaintia Hills district police lodged a complaint on Thursday after video of the boy being thrashed about went viral. Khliehriat, the headquarters of the coal-rich East Jaintia Hills district, is 97 km southeast of Meghalaya capital Shillong.
