Bracken Bat Cave 09-11-11

We were lucky enough to make "the list" to catch this viewing on September 11, 2011. During the viewing we saw some of the 20 MILLION bats emerge from the cave. With those kind of numbers, we also got to see some other bat flight related events to include a hawk picking one of the bats off, an albino bat or two, a couple of wind related bat to ground / bat to tree incidents, and an amazing Texas sunset along with a full moon rising all in the same sitting. If you've never been to a bat flight, these are events to experience at least one time in person. If you ever get the opportunity to witness a bat flight at Bracken Bat Cave here in San Antonio, Texas, it will be an experience that is hard to top. Enjoy!
