Briggs 5hp on 1993 MTD shredder. Gas leaking from carb & over revving.

Video is of start-up after the "repairs" to the carb. (The random backfiring noises are from the camera being too close to the muffler - it doesn't sound like that in person!) Shredder was purchased new 20 years ago and has been remarkably reliable. About halfway through chipping up a load of pine last week, I smelled gas. Cleaned the carb and tank area up (it was filthy from shredding) and started it back up to see if there was a leak. About 15 minutes later, the engine sounded like it was running a little faster than normal at full throttle, and I saw gas was starting to leak between the carb and the tank. Decided to shut it down totally to figure out how it went from running great to leaking and over revving in a matter of minutes. I took the air filter off, I noticed 4 of the screws on the carb were very loose. One was sticking up so high it was actually blocking the governor. Gently tightened all the screws down and fired it back up. No more leaking, and governor works fine. I was close to tearing it apart and ordering all new gaskets and a carb kit. It's been so reliable for 20 years, that it was VERY easy to miss something as simple as loose screws. Other than yearly oil changes and a new plug and air filter about 10 years ago, this thing has been a beast! Need to start going over it a little better each winter, I guess.
