The Denver Broncos defeated the Houston on Monday Night Football in an October game that saw the Texans led by Brock Osweiler score zero touchdowns on the evening. The Broncos finished the game 27-9 with 3 Denver touchdowns scored by Demaryius Thomas, C.J. Anderson, and Devontae Booker. Brandon McManus was perfect on the evening making both of his field goals. The big play of the game was the Alfred Blue fumble cause by Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward which Todd Davis Recovered.
Brock Osweiler was held to 131 passing yards, but was not sacked on the night. The Denver secondary was flawless, and the trend continued for the defense. They gave up some rushing yards, but tightened every time Houston entered the Red Zone. Derek Wolfe batted down a pass, and Brock Osweiler became the first QB in NFL history to throw a fumble. Sanders led the receivers with 86 yards, with a long of 31.
It appears John Elway and the Broncos organization got lucky Brock wanted to leave the town. It was a strong performance by the Broncos on a night where Jason Elam, Simon Fletcher, and John Lynch were inducted into the Ring of Fame. Denver is 5-2 with a bounce-back game after losses to the Chargers and Falcons.
