Brush fire threatens homes in Pacific Palisades, California. May 4 2014

A brush fire on the western edge of Pacific Palisades caused firefighters to go into structure protection mode today. About 167 Los Angeles city firefighters were rushed to Santa Ynez Canyon, Three city fire helicopters and Two Los Angeles County fire helicopters along with the Santa Monica fire department were also assigned to the fire which was reported at about 12:30 p.m. The fire was in steep hills, north of Sunset Boulevard and about a half mile north of Pacific Coast Highway.
