Camaro Z28 383 T Top Conversion How To Part 11 of 11

Part 11 is the final step of the conversion before we fit both of the T-Tops on the vehicle. This is all there is to it other than inserting the gaskets and mounting tabs for the T-Tops. Below is a list of parts that you will need in order to make this conversion. We had a donor Camaro with T-Tops that we ravaged for parts so it worked out well and was done for less than $300 on this Camaro. T-Top glass for both sides 4 Mounting Tabs that secure the T-Tops in place, there is one on each side of the front and rear of the Camaro. Middle bracket that runs down the middle of the car (screws in). Weather stripping for both sides from a T-Top Camaro. Tools: We used a dremel to make the cut on the roof and a jig-saw with metal cutting blades to make the cuts to the frame. Orbital sander to smooth out all the cuts and finalize fitment. We did this conversion from start to finish in about an hour while recording from an Android phone. This was my first T-Top conversion on an F-Body Camaro but it is really not that difficult. Make sure to make the cuts with extra room and finalize the fitment with an orbital sander. The last step was to purchase color coded paint that we got paint matched from the parts store that comes in factory GM paint codes. After the paint is applied to the top section of the car there is literally no way to tell if the car came from the factory with T-Tops or not... if you take your time and do it right.
