Cambodian dance vs Thai dance

We clued two videos for the Thai Khon because the two stages are very truly spectacular. The aim of these video is to do a just comparison and to provide viewer two kind of dances that each has its unique beauty. However, one only can hope that he can do what he want but it is rarely the case. And with justice it is even harder when there are so much subjectivities. The description given in the video do no justice of telling the beauty of the two dances. I apologize to the dancers and the dances themselves since I believe these videos doesn’t capture the full beauty and complexity of their movement. The earth is just a rocky tiny planet among countless others in the gigantically vast universe teaming with giant stars, black holes, galaxies and “empty space”. We human and our civilization exists on a timeline negligible even to the earth’s history itself, let alone the history of the universe. Our sun will burn out long before other stars, and one by one stars collapse and blackhole die and and the universe itself will come to its own end. We human is tiny speck of dust and we are an insignificant part of the universe we happen situate in. What we do doesn’t matter to the stars. The best we can hope is to make some differences for those who live around us, to those who share the planet with us, and present and the future. There is no biological difference between two group of people and we are all a part of this nature. Borders are imaginary line drawn by some clever men to make us fight each other for the king’s glory and rulers’ benefit. Throughout history, ordinary people are those who actually suffer the hunger, the hard labor in the cold rain and under the heating sun, the death of themselves and their family members in wars and in famine, while the ruler sit in their palaces enjoying their delicate meal and fine wine. How painful it is when a mother receive news of the death of her son or watch their children starve when the country collect taxes for wars. We all have suffer a lot. Show each other love and compassion and share what we can share before it’s all gone. We all are brother and sister. What is the point of calling one another thief? It only generates hats and it is in abundance already. And do these dances actually belong us? It is belonged to god and the heaven above. What we should care about is the life of those dancers and those who enjoy watching them. Let’s enjoy the dance and celebrate it!
