Camtasia 2019 &2018 How to use SMART FOCUS/ ZOOM -Recommended Techsmith Camtasia Trainer

This tutorial highlights the smart focus tool in Camtasia 2019 and 2018. Camtasia is a superior screen capture technology. One major feature is the zoom, pan and scan ability. When editing a video recording you may want to focus on certain areas of the screen. This can be done with the cursor highlight, but also by zooming in parts of the recording you want to highlight. Camtasia has a lot of flexibility with panning in and panning out, with an ‘actual size’ and ‘scale to fit’ option. Smart focus allows you in a screen capture video allows the viewer to look at a particular area of the screen. Screen capture technology continues to improve. This feature in Techsmith’s Camtasia 2019 is also available on the 2018 version. The smart focus tool has evolved quite a lot and Russell makes extensive use of it. As well as annotations and animations, the option to zoom in and out of your recording can focus the viewer’s attention. This tutorial also shows you little tips like using the one frame back/forward button. By using the animation feature you can position the video correctly on the canvas. Camtasia will automatically add the key points, where the calculation of where the zoom starts and ends is made. This video also shows you how to keep the webcam on the screen. By deleting the automatic key points you can keep the webcam showing, which is probably what you need if you are doing a lot of panning in and out. You can also lock a channel or track so that this is protected from animations accidentally being added. You can also drag on the key point to make the pan in or out faster or slower in time. So there are automatic features and ways to manually adjust how quickly the zoom takes place.
