Canon VIXIA mini X Review

It's technically a camcorder, but it has the form factor mashup between a late 90s digital camera and the original Gameboy. This pocketable camcorder has won the hearts of many vloggers so I thought I would give it a try. I currently don't owned a fisheye lens so I thought it would be fun to play around with the mini X in both video and stills mode. My conclusion? It's not the greatest camera to take pictures with but the extreme wide-angle view is pretty cool. Compared to the Canon G5X, the VIXIA mini X is running a camcorder operating system and has all the major inputs of a video recorder, including audio input, headphone output, DC power in, HDMI out, audio levels, etc. However, there's no optical zoom or OIS. Which is the better video camera? Skip to the end to find out *I keep saying 'stereo speakers' in reference to the 'stereo microphones' at 3:03 and 5:15 . They are definitely microphones and not speakers. Sorry about that. *This video was shot on the Fujifilm X-Pro2 and XF18-55mm lens. I used the MIC-ST1 for audio and the Sunpak 96 LED for video light.
